Shanti Bauddha Bihar Gumba
Situated in the Halhale Dhuri of Ward No. 11 of Baglung Municipality, the Shanti Bihar Bauddha Gumba is established as a significant religious and tourist destination. Located about 17 kilometers from Baglung Bazaar, this Gumba lies on the borders of Baglung Municipality, Jaimini Municipality and Kathekhola Rural Municipality. Situated at a height of 2200 meters, this Gumba offers a mesmerizing view of dozens of snow-capped peaks. Furthermore, it is an ideal and excellent place for meditation and yoga.
Saint Arya (Narsingh Thapa), a resident monk of Ward No. 11 of Baglung Municipality, collected the sacred soil from Lumbini and established the foundation of this Gumba through land worship in Magh 1, 2062. Since then, local Buddhist practitioners have been performing daily worship at this Gumba. Special Buddhist worship ceremonies are held on the establishment day of this Gumba and on the full moon day of Baisakh. Initially, a small stupa was built and the worship rituals used to be conducted at this site. However, later, with the special initiative of Ward Chairman Gyanendra Gautam, the construction of the present-day Gumba has been completed.
Currently, Bhikshu Arya has been regularly performing rituals at Gumba. In 2070 BS, the Gumba was officially registered by the District Administration Office, Social Welfare Council, and Gumba Development Committee. Ran Bahadur Thapa has been leading and managing the Gumba as its Chairman.
शान्ति बौद्ध विहार गुम्बा, बानपा ११ रायडाँडा, हलहले
बागलुङ नगरपालिकाको वडा नं ११ रायडाँडाको हलहले धुरीमा अवस्थित शान्ति विहार बौद्ध गुम्वा, बागलुङ नगरपालिकाको धार्मिक र पर्यटकिय गन्तव्यको महत्वपूर्ण स्थानको रुपमा स्थापित भएको छ।
बागलुङ बजारदेखि १७ किलोमिटरको दुरीमा रहेको गुम्बा बागलुङ नगरपालिका, जैमिनी नगरपालिका र काठेखोला गाउपालिकाको सिमानामा रहेको छ। २२ सय मिटरको उचाईमा रहेको सो गुम्बा दर्जनौ हिमश्रृखंला दृष्यावलोकन गर्न सकिन्छ। ध्यान योगको लागि यो उपयुक्त तथा उत्कृष्ट स्थान हो ।
लुम्विनी लगायत विभिन्न बौद्ध पीठबाट पर्वजीत गर्नु भएका बा.न.पा. ११ निवासी भिक्षु आर्या (नरसिंह थापा)ले वि. सं. २०६२ साल माघ १ गते लुम्विनीबाट भगवान बुद्धको पाईला परेको माटो ल्याई हलहलेमा भुमिपुजा गरि यो गुम्वाको प्रतिष्ठा गरिएको थियो। सो समयदेखि यो गुम्वामा स्थानिय बौद्ध धर्मालम्वीहरुले दैनिकी वुद्धपुजा गर्दै आएका छन । माघ १ गते स्थापना दिवश र बैशाख पुर्णिमामा विषेश बौद्ध पुजा हुने गर्दछ । प्रारम्भमा सानो स्तुपाबाट पूजापाठ गरिदैआएको सो स्थानमा वडा अध्यक्ष ज्ञानेन्द्र गौतमको विषेश पहलमा हाल सुविधा सम्पन्न गुम्वाको निर्माण गरिएको छ । गुम्वामा हाल नियमितरुपमा भिक्षु आर्या ले गर्दै आउनुभएको छ । २०७० सालमा जिल्ला प्रशासन कार्यालय, समाज कल्याण परिषद र गुम्वाविकास समितिमा विधिवत दर्ता भएको यो गुम्वाको अध्यक्ष रहि रणबहादुर थापाले नेतृत्व र व्यवस्थापन गर्दै आउनु भएको छ ।
