Ramagrama Stupa

It is believed that when Emperor Asoka came to claim the Buddha’s relics, he left Ramagrama untouched in reverence. Today, this mound is revered as the only surviving undisturbed stupa among the original eight built over the Buddha’s relics. According to Buddhist tradition, a powerful Nāga protected its sacred relics, preserving Ramagrama as an enduring symbol of faith, devotion, and the sanctity of the Buddha’s remains.
