BHRAPSA

Bhrapsa directly translates to white soil in Thakali language. Presence of white soil in this area meant that indigineous thakali people used it to paint their houses. Originally, in the thakali houses, the rammed earth architectural style was mostly prevalent. Since the start of civilization in this area, this place has been an important site for indigenous people of this area. Mostly for ensuring insulation and strength of their home.
