Namaste! Welcome to the Provincial Museum.
The Regional Museum Pokhara, which was opened to the public on Magh 23, 2041, was converted into a Provincial Museum on Bhadra 24, 2075 after the current political changes in the country. Located in the heart of the beautiful tourist city Pokhara, this museum is located in Ward No. 9, Nayabazar, Pokhara Metropolitan City. Older than other regional museums and established as the first museum in Pokhara, this museum is also known as the Pokhara Museum.
Spread over a total area of 23 ropanis, this museum has four exhibition halls. The daily lifestyles, costumes, jewelry, musical instruments, agricultural tools, replicas of castes, idols of gods and goddesses and various cultural materials of various castes living in the former Western Development Region and the present Gandaki Province are collected and displayed in this museum.
The museum’s replica hall displays attractive replicas of a forest bee hive, a traditional revolving house, a Gurung priest, etc. In addition, archaeological materials obtained from excavations in Mustang district are also the main attraction of this museum exhibition. This hall displays pottery, garlands, metal weapons, wooden weapons, bone materials and jewelry, stone tools, small pottery vessels, metal jewelry, etc. A visit to this hall provides information about the development of civilization in the hills and mountains of Nepal. Visitors interested in original culture and traditions can visit the museum’s exhibition hall in a peaceful environment, free from the busy lifestyle and noise of Pokhara, and enjoy the picturesque gardens of the premises.

नमस्कार ! हजुरलाई प्रदेश संग्रहालयमा हार्दिक स्वागत छ।
वि.स. २०४१ माघ २३ गते सर्वसाधारणको लागि खुल्ला गरिएको क्षेत्रीय संग्रहालय पोखारा देशको वर्तमान राजनितिक परिवर्तन पश्चात प्रदेश संग्रहालयको रुपमा वि.स.२०७५ भाद्र २४ गते रुपान्तरण भएको हो । सुन्दर पर्यटकीय नगरी
पोखराको मुटुमा अवस्थित यस संग्रहालय पोखरा महानगरपालिका वडा नं. ९ नयाँबजारमा अवस्थित छ । अन्य क्षेत्रीय संग्रहालयहरु भन्दा पुरानो र पोखराको पहिलो संग्रहालयको रुपमा स्थापित यस संग्रहालयलाई पोखरा संग्रहालयको नामले पनि चिनिन्छ ।
कुल २३ रोपनी क्षेत्रफलमा फैलिएको यस संग्रहालयमा चारवटा प्रदर्शनी कक्षहरु छन् । साविक पश्चिमाञ्चल विकास क्षेत्र र हालको गण्डकी प्रदेशमा बसोबास गर्ने विभिन्न जातजातिका दैनिक जीवनशैली, भेषभुषा, गरगहना, बाजागाजा,कृषि औजार, जातिहरुको प्रतिकृति, देवीदेवताका मूर्तिहरु तथा सस्कृति सम्वन्धी विभिन्न
सामाग्रीहरु यस संग्रहालयमा संकलित तथा प्रदर्शित छन् ।
संग्रहालयको प्रतिकृति कक्षमा वन मौरी काढेको, परम्परागत घुमाउने घर,गुरुङ जातिका पुरोहित आदिको आकर्षक प्रतिकृतिहरु प्रदर्शित छन्। साथै मुस्ताङ्ग जिल्लाको उत्खनन्बाट प्राप्त पुरातात्विक सामाग्रीहरु पनि यस संग्रहालय प्रदर्शनीको मुख्य आकर्षण हो। यस कक्षमा माटाका भाडाकुँडा, माला, धातुका हातहतियार, काठका हतियार, हाडका सामाग्री तथा गहना, ढुङ्गाका औजार, माटाका साना भाँडा वर्तन, धातुका गहना, आदि प्रदर्शित छन् । यस कक्षको अवलोकनबाट नेपालको पहाड तथा हिमालमा भएको सभ्यताको विकासक्रमको बारेमा जानाकारी प्राप्त हुन्छ। मौलिक संस्कृति र परम्परामा रुचि राख्ने अवलोकनकर्ताहरुले पोखराको व्यस्त जीवनशैली र कोलाहलबाट मुक्त भई शान्त वातावरणमा संग्रहालयको प्रर्दशर्नी कक्षको अवलोकन गर्न तथा परिसरको मनोरम
बगैचामा आनन्द लिन सकिन्छ ।
