The locals call Angaraj Panchayat AAR GAJA also. This lake runs north from the Janaki temple. Religious believes say that Sita was offered to take a bath here during the marriage. The Brahmin deity of Kashi is believed to have been relieved of the disease after bathing in this pond after having Laprosy by Shiva’s curse.
