Shree Akaladevi and Laxmi Narayan Temple of Ward No. 19 are located on the banks of the Seti Gandaki River, just below the Machhapuchhre mountain range in the northwest of Pokhara.
The local legend here dates back around 500 years ago. A yogi named Hanuman used to worship Gods and Goddesses here. He had built a small hut in this holy land to look after them. While he was here he sowed various fruit saplings of mango, jackfruit, and Jamuna which made this place look like the Garden of Fruits. Thus, locals often refer to this place as ‘Bagaicha’ (Nepali word for Garden).
Idols of Akaladevi, Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, Mahasaraswati, Navadurga, Ganesh, Swasthani, Baglamukhi, Gayatri, Batuk Bhairab, Radhakrishna, Sitaram, Hanuman, Laxminarayan, Ashtachiranjivi, Mahakal Bhairav, Vasuki Nag, Manidwipeshwar Mahadev and 108 Shivalinga, Navagraha, Shani, Shanakata, and Budhanilkantha are established in these premises.
Here, Daily worshipping rituals are performed along with Maha Aarti Bhajan Saturdays and during different festivals. Especially, on the occasion of the Dashain festival, the Nava Durga festival and mass tika reception are organized. Mahashivaratri Festival and Shiva worship, Rudrabhishek, and 108 Shivalinga are worshiped throughout the month of Shrawan (July-August).
Gurus used this place to perform rituals of Hinduism for all phases of life from birth to death, such as marriage, fasting, Chaurasi, Rudri, etc.
It is believed that this place has the power to relieve one’s pain. If there is an emergency at home or if the infants don’t start speaking at the right age, if there is mental stress, if there is unrest in the family, Once you take a vow and worship here, all the wishes will be fulfilled and troubles will come to rest.
This religious and tourist place has been developed as a Garden Dham for the worshipping of different deities. In addition, the Shukla Gandaki River which flows nearby also makes it a beautiful spot for picnics and peaceful retreats.

नमस्कार ! तपाइलाई अकला देवी मन्दिरमा स्वागत छ।
पर्यटकीय शहर पोखराको उत्तरपश्चिम माछापुच्छ्रे हिमशृङ्खलाको काख र सेती गण्डकीको किनारमा अवस्थित छ – श्री अकलादेवी तथा लक्ष्मीनारायण मन्दिर।
आज भन्दा करिब ५०० वर्ष अगाडि यस पुण्य भूमिमा हनुमान नाम गरेका एकजना योगी आई माटाको सानो कुटी निर्माण गरि देवी देवताहरुको सेवा आराधना गर्ने गरेको किंवदन्ती रहेको छ।। देवीको पूजापाठ नैवेद्यको लागि आँप, कटहर, जमुना जस्ता विभिन्न फलफूलका बिरुवाहरु लगाई संरक्षण गरि उक्त स्थानलाई बगैंचा नामाकरण गरिएको थियोे।
यस प्राङ्गणमा अकलादेवी,महाकाली,महालक्ष्मी, महासरस्वती, नवदुर्गा, गणेश, स्वस्थानी, बगलामुखी, गायत्री, बटुक भैरब, राधाकृष्ण, सीताराम, हनुमान, लक्ष्मीनारायण, अष्टचिरन्जिवी, महाकाल भैरव, वासुकी नाग,मणिद्वीपेश्वर महादेव सहित १०८ शिवलिङ्ग, नवग्रह, शनि, शंकटा, र बुढानिलकण्ठ भगवानका मूर्तिहरु स्थापित गरिएका छन। सबै मन्दिरमा नित्य पूजापाठ र प्रत्येक शनिबार तथा पर्वहरुमा महाआरती भजन कृतन गर्ने गरिन्छ। विवाह, व्रतवन्ध, चौरासी, रुद्री, आदि जन्म देखि मृत्यु पर्यन्त कर्मकाण्ड पूजापाठको लागि विद्वान गुरुहरु राखिएको छ।
यस मन्दिरमा आपत बिपत परेमा, बाबुनानीको समयमै बोली नफुटेमा, मानसिक तनाव भएमा, परिवारमा अशान्ति भएमा, र धनधान्य बृध्दिको लागि यहाँ भाकल एवं पूजापाठ गर्नाले वा गराउनाले सम्पूर्ण मनोकामना पुर्णहुने जनविश्वास रहिआएको छ। यस धार्मिक तथा पर्यटकीय स्थल बगैंचामा एकै स्थानबाट विभिन्न देवीदेवताको पूजापाठ आराधना एवं शुक्ला गण्डकीको दर्शन स्पर्शन गर्न सकिने हुँदा बगैंचाधामको रुपमा विकसित भएको छ ।
दशैं पर्वमा नवदुर्गा महोत्सव एवं सामुहिक टीका ग्रहण गर्ने कार्यक्रम सव्य र भव्य रूपमा गरिन्छ। महाशिवरात्री महोत्सव एवं साउन महिनाभर शिव आराधना, रुद्राभिषेक, १०८ शिवलिङ्गमा पूजापाठ गरिन्छ। वनभोजको लागि आवश्यक सुबिधा,रमणीय र शान्तस्थान भएकोले वनभोजको लागि पनि अत्यन्तै उपयोगी रहेको छ ।
