Bhadrakali Temple is located on the crest of a small, round hillock in Ward No. 12 and 13 of Pokhara Metropolitan City, in the northeast of the central part of Pokhara Valley. The hillock area is completely covered with dense forest and can be reached after climbing about 250 stairs at a height of about 45-50 meters from the general flat land of Pokhara area.
In the temple complex above, along with the main temple of Bhagwati Shri Bhadrakali Mata, there is also a temple of Shri Ganeshji, a temple of Shri Lakshminarayanji and an idol of Shri Hanumanji. Based on the old documents received so far regarding its historical significance, this religious place was established in BS 1901.
Its origin and establishment
Before the establishment of the temple of Shri Bhadrakali Mata, In 1901, in the context of the establishment and worship of the temple of Lord Ganesha, an ancestor of the Dhewaju family, a resident of Kundahar, Goundakomukh, Pokhara-13, connected to the Bhadrakali hill area, had a dream one night, saying, “You all come here to worship Lord Ganesha. I am also here. No one asks about me or worships me. If you ask about me and worship me, then you and your family and everyone will be well and auspicious.” The next day, the Dhewaju family gathered all the villagers and informed them of the dream that had occurred that night. When they cleared away the bushes and leaves in the temple area above, they dug and dug, and when they searched, they found a large black stone, and they believed that this stone was the goddess Bhadrakali and worshiped it. Later, at the initiative of the Dhevaju family, the tall octagonal stone idol that we see and worship today was brought from Kathmandu, made of the same black stone that was originally created; the temple was also built by the Dhevaju family, as confirmed by history and old documents and documents. The Shri Ganesh Temple located next to the Bhadrakali Temple was established by Jimmuwal Ramchandra Khatri in 1901 BS. Since the above-mentioned history and the beliefs and legends of the elders that Shri Bhadrakali Mata had been created there herself since before that, it can be believed that the establishment and origin of the Shri Bhadrakali Mata temple dates back to ancient times.
Festivals and Celebrations
Here, a large crowd of devotees gathers during the Dashain, Vijaya Dashami, Navratri, and during Ram Navami, Chaite Dashain, Shata Bij, New Year’s Day and Purnima Tithi, including Saturdays and Tuesdays. Here, daily worship, including various vows, Wali Puja, Sailipit Manokanksha Puja, and Durga Saptashati Puja with Haman every morning and evening Divine Aarti are held. Along with this, evening Aarti Maha Aarti is also held on the eighth day of the Shukla Paksha of every month. In addition, this religious place is worshipped with great devotion by the locals here and all the Pokhara residents living around the Pokhara area as their beloved goddess, protector, protector and Shaktipeeth. They also respect and respect the goddess Kali Mata, who always blesses everyone in their happiness and sorrow. Various rituals are also performed here from home and abroad. Since it is believed and believed by the people that whoever comes here will not have to return empty-handed, its glory and fame has spread far and wide.

नमस्ते ! हजुरलाई भद्रकाली मन्दिरमा स्वागत छ।
भद्रकाली मन्दिर पोखरा उपत्यकाको विच भागको उत्तर पूर्व तर्फ पोखरा महानगरपालिका वडा नं. १२ र १३ कुँडहर स्थित एउटा सानो गोलाकारको थुम्की डाँडाको थाप्लोमा अवस्थित छ। डांडा क्षेत्र पुरै घना जङ्गलले भरिएको तथा पोखरा क्षेत्रको सामान्य समथर जमिनबाट करिव ४५-५० मिटर उचाईमा करिव २५० वटा सिढीबाटो उक्लेपछी पुग्न सकिन्छ ।
माथि मन्दिर परिषरमा, भगवती श्री भद्रकाली माताको मुख्य मन्दिरसंगै श्री गणेशजीको मन्दिर, श्री लक्ष्मीनारायणजीको मन्दिर र एउटा श्री हनुमानजीको मुर्ति पनि छ । यसको ऐतिहासिकताको वारेमा आज सम्म प्राप्त पुराना दस्तावेज कागजको आधारमा यस धार्मिक स्थलको स्थापना वि.सं. १९०१ सालमा भएको पाइन्छ ।
यसको उत्पति र स्थापना
श्री भद्रकाली माताको मन्दिर स्थापना पूर्व नै वि.सं. १९०१ सालमा श्री गणेश भगवानको मन्दिर स्थापना र पूजा हुँदै आइरहेको परिप्रेक्षमा पछी त्यसै भद्रकाली डाँडा क्षेत्रसंग जोडिएर पोखरा-१३ कुँडहर गौंडाकोमुख निवासी ढेवाजु परिवारका पूर्वजलाई एक दिन राती सपनामा , “तिमीहरु सबै यहाँ श्री गणेश भगवानको पूजा गर्न आउँछौ म पनि यहीँ रहेकी छु, मेरो कसैले सोध खोज गर्दैनन्, पूजा पनि गर्दैनन् ; मेरो पनि सोध खोज गरेर पूजा आराधाना गरेमा तिम्रो र तिम्रो परिवारको तथा सबैको राम्रो हुनेछ, शुभ मंगल हुनेछ” भनि सपना भएको भन्ने विश्वास छ। भोली पल्ट उक्त ढेवाजु परिवारबाट सबै गाउँ नगरवासीलाई भेला गराइ राती भएको सपनाको जानकारी गराएको र माथी मन्दिर क्षेत्रमा उक्लि झाडी पात पतिङ्गर पन्छाइ खनी, खोस्री गरि खोजी हेर्दा एउटा श्याम वर्णको ठुलो पत्थर फेला परेको र सोही पस्थरलाई नै श्री भद्रकाली माता हुनुभएको विश्वास गरि प्राणप्रतिष्ठा गरि पूजा हुँदै आइरहेको बुढापाकाको भनाई र किम्वदन्ती सुनिन्छ। पछी ढेवाजु परिवारकै पहलमा आज हामीले देखिने र पुज्दै आएको अष्टभुजा भएको अग्लो पस्थर मुर्ति काठमाण्डौबाट ल्याइ उनै पहिला उत्पती भएकी श्याम वर्णको पत्त्थर; मुर्ति पछाडी ठड्याई मन्दिर समेत ढेवाजु परिवारले नै बनाएको इतिहास र पुराना कागजात र दस्तावेजबाट पुष्टी हुन्छ। भद्रकाली मन्दिरसंगै अवस्थित श्री गणेश मन्दिर वि.सं. १९०१ सालमा जिम्मुवाल रामचन्द्र खत्रीबाट स्थापना गरिएको थियो। श्री भद्रकाली माता त्यस अगाडी देखि नै त्यहाँ स्वयम् उत्पती भै रहीआएको भन्ने माथि उल्लेखित इतिहासका साथै बुढापाकाको भनाइ मान्यता र किम्वदन्ती रही आएको हुँदा श्री भद्रकाली माताको मन्दिरको स्थापना र उत्पति पौराणिक कालबाटै रहँदै आएको विश्वास गर्न सकिन्छ ।
चाडवाड र उत्सवहरु
यहाँ वडा दशैं विजया दशमीको बेलामा नवरात्र भरि र रामनवमीको वेला चैते दशैं, वालाचर्तुदशीका दिन शतविज छर्ने, नव वर्षका दिन र पूर्णिमा तिथिका दिन सहित शनिवार मंगलवार भक्तजनहरुको ठुलो भिड लाग्ने गर्दछ यहाँ दैनिक नित्य पूजा आराधान सहित विभिन्न भाकल पूजा, वली पूजा, सइल्पित मनोकांक्षाका पूजा तथा प्रत्येक दिन विहान हमन सहितको दुर्गासप्तशती पाठ र सांझ दिव्य आरती हुन्छ र संगै प्रत्येक महिनको शुक्लपक्षको अष्टमी तिथिका दिन साझ आरतीको पनि आरती महाआरती हुने गर्दछ । यसको अतिरिक्त यस धार्मिक स्थललाई यहाँका स्थानियवासीहरु तथा पोखरा क्षेत्रका सेरोफेरोमा वस्ने सबै पोखरा बासीहरुले आफ्नो आराध्यदेवी पालनकर्ता रक्षक देवी र शक्तिपिठको रुपमा अतिनै श्रद्धापूर्वक पुज्दछन् र मान्दछन् साथै सबैको मनोरथ मनोकांक्षा पुरा हुने सबै सबैको सुख दुःखमा सधैं साथ आर्शिवाद दिने देवी कालीमाताको रुपमा सम्मान गर्दछन । यहाँ देश विदेशबाट पनि विभिन्न सङ्कल्पित पूजाहरु पनि आउने गर्दछन् । यहाँ आउने जो कोही पनि विमुख भएर दुखित रित्तोहात फर्कनु पर्दैन भन्ने मान्यता र जन विश्वास भएको हुँदा यसको महिमा र प्रसिद्धी टाढा टाढा सम्म फैलिएको छ ।
