Hello! Welcome to the Malang Baba Temple.
It is said that Malang Baba has been present in this village for a long time. Initially, the devotees who knew the place on Ganesh Mishra’s land used to worship Baba and the locals also had great faith in Baba. The story of Malang Baba’s grace and miracles is still alive in the minds of the locals here. According to one of the many such stories, about 40 years ago, a local resident, Lakshmi Rai, was surrounded by bandits, robbed and tried to kill him. After trying to kill him without any means, he worshipped his East God Malang Baba, being from the Yadav community. As a result, his life was saved even though his wealth was looted. After all other efforts failed, because Malang Baba had saved his life, he brought the idol on Ganesh Mishra’s land to his own land and established a shrine, established a suitable land for Baba, and started worshiping him systematically. Malang Baba is also known as the East God of the Dusadh community.
Although worship was being held at the same place for a long time, the Dhupi Pandit of the Kumar community started worshiping at the same place in a formal manner. Baba is also worshipped as Lord Vishnu by many people. The literal meaning of the word Malang is ‘one who solves problems without worrying about any consequences’, and as Baba fulfills the wishes of his devotees accordingly, many people worship Baba.
Although worship is usually done daily, there is a tradition of sacrificing chickens here on the Navami of Ashoj. Many devotees do not sacrifice and just keep their vows.

नमस्कार! हजुरलाई मलङ्ग बाबा मन्दिरमा स्वागत छ ।
भनिन्छ कि, मलङ्ग बाबाको स्थान यस गाउँमा धेरै समय अघि देखि नै बिराजमान छ । सुरुमा, गणेश मिश्रको जग्गामा रहेको स्थानमा थाहा भएका भक्तजनहरुले बाबाको पूजा गर्ने गर्दथिए र बाबाप्रति पनि स्थानीयहरुको ठूलो आस्था थियो । मलङ्ग बाबाको कृपा र चमत्कारको प्रसङ्ग, यहाँको स्थानीयहरुको मनमा आझै सम्म पनि जीवित रहेको छ । त्यस्ता धेरै प्रसङ्ग मध्ये एक प्रसङ्ग अनुसार, करिब ४० बर्ष अघि, यहाँकै स्थानीयवासी, लक्ष्मी रायलाई डाकुहरुले घेरेर, लुटपाट गरेर, हत्या गर्ने प्रयास गरियो । केही उपाय नलागेर, उहाँलाई मार्न खोजेपछि उहाँले आफुँ यादव समुदायबाट भएकोले आफ्नो इस्ट देवता मलङ्ग बाबाको आराधना गर्नु भयो । फलस्वरूप, उहाँको धन लुटिए पनि ज्यान बच्यो । अरु सबै प्रयास असफल भएपछि, मलङ्ग बाबाले आफ्नो ज्यान जोगाइदिनु भएको कारणले उहाँले गणेश मिश्रको जग्गामा रहेको पिण्डलाई आफ्नै जमिनमा ल्याएर गवहरको स्थापना गरेर, बाबाको एउटा उपयुक्त जग्गा कायम गरी, व्यवस्थित रुपमा पूजा गर्न थाल्नुभयो। मलङ्ग बाबालाई दुसाध समुदायको इस्ट देवताको रुपमा पनि चिनिन्छ ।
निकै समय सम्म, त्यही स्थानमा पूजा हुदैं आए पनि विधिवत रुपमा भने कुमार समुदायको धुपी पण्डितले सोहि स्थानमा मन्दिर बनाएर पूजा गर्न थाल्नु भयो । बाबालाई भगवान विष्णुको रुपमा पनि, धेरै मानिसहरुले पूजा गर्दै आएका छन् । मलङ्ग शब्दको शंदिक अर्थ भने ‘कुनै पनि परिणामको चिन्ता नगरी समस्याको समाधान गर्ने’ भनेजस्तै बाबाले पनि सोहि अनुरुप आफ्नो भक्तजनको मनोकामना पुर्ति गरिदिने हुनाले धेरै मानिसहरुले बाबाको आराधना गर्ने गर्दछन् ।
प्राय: जसो दैनिक पूजा हुने भएपनि अशोजको नवमीको बेलामा यहाँ कुखुराको बलिदिने प्रचलन रहेको छ । धेरै जना भक्तजनहरु बलि नदिएर आफ्नो भाकलमात्र पनि राख्ने गर्दछन् ।
