The then ruler Madan Sinharam, who made this Bijeshwari Bhagwati the capital of Nepal in the city of Palanchok, installed an inscription in the Itung Bahal of Kathmandu in the year 1439. It is mentioned that Tripureshwaridevi was built near the fort of Palanchok in 1439. The inscription also mentions the rebuilding of Swayambhunath Chaitya! There is sufficient evidence that the monastery temple was built by the ruler of Palanchok who invaded the Kathmandu valley and destroyed it.
