Spread across&nbsp;<strong>968 sq. km<\/strong>, the park is known for its dense forests, wide grasslands, rivers, diverse wildlife, and peaceful natural surroundings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Located in western Nepal, Bardiya offers visitors the opportunity to experience wildlife and local culture away from the more crowded tourist destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Brief History<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The area was first established as the&nbsp;<strong>Royal Karnali Wildlife Reserve in 1975\/76 (B.S. 2032)<\/strong>. In 1977\/78 (B.S. 2034), it was renamed the Karnali Wildlife Reserve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On&nbsp;<strong>Magh 20, 2041 B.S.<\/strong>, the reserve was officially renamed&nbsp;<strong>Royal Bardiya National Park<\/strong>.
